Brittleness

The tendency of a product to break or crack under conditions in which it would
not normally do so.

Some possible causes:
a. Improper screw design.
b. Condensation in the mould.
c. Excessive moisture.


Remedies, to check:
a. Use an injection screw with higher compression ratio.
b. Raise the mould temperature to prevent condensation from forming.
c. Use proper drying procedures.
